● When should my Dog or Cat start taking AminAvast?
- It is recommended that all dogs and cats over 7 years of age receive AminAvast to support their aging kidneys. It can be recommended for earlier use in patients requiring extra renal support or receiving medications filtered by the kidneys.
● Is AminAvast Safe?
- Yes, AminAvast has been given to animals over 2 years in three clinical studies and there have been no reports of adverse effects during the study, either symptomatic or hematological. There have been no reported adverse effects since its commercial release.
● My pet is on other supplements and medications. Can I still give AminAvast?
- There are no reported/known contraindications or adverse interactions between the ingredients in AminAvast and any other dietary ingredient or medications.
● How do I administer AminAvast?
- Cats and dogs will eat AminAvast capsule contents with no hesitation and AminAvast is very easy to administer. Simply open the capsule and mix with food. Most cats and dogs will eat AminAvast in their normal food. For finicky animals or those whose appetite is decreased, we suggest mixing the contents of the capsule with about one tablespoon of a special food (a food the animal loves but rarely gets is a great choice as they will be excited to eat it). Another option is to mix the contents of the capsule with a little tuna water and let the cat lap it up. For dogs, you may also hide the capsules in a treat such as peanut butter.

What is AminAmend?
US Pat. No. 9,770,424 AminAmend provides a patented bioavailable orally provided HMB supplement (B-hydroxy B-methylbutyrate) to help maintain muscle health and lean body mass. The primary ingredient in AminAmend, HMB, has been clinically tested for decades. Human studies have shown that supplementing a diet with HMB is able to increase muscle protein synthesis while decreasing muscle protein breakdown1.
