Room Temperature Medicine and Cool Chain Medicines
Our storage point is located in our office complex and we store drugs there following international industry standards, and rules and regulations set by the Cosmetic Device and Drug Authority of Sri Lanka (CDDA).
We are using well qualified pharmacists to supervise facilities all the time. Also we use generators to backup power during power failures and thereby not to allow any damage to occur to the drugs.
Cold storage facility is constantly monitored by our staff (e.g., during times of power failure, temperature excursions, sudden door opening, and in case of air-condition failures).
Temperature is strictly controlled between 15-30ºC in storage. The medicine stored at room temperature also requires care in following aspects:

As such Medicines even at room temperature are properly maintained paying special attention on their storage conditions.
Hence each and every protocol regarding the storage of medicine is followed so that the value and safety of medicines would not damage.
COLD CHAIN MAINTENANCE
The temperature is strictly monitored and controlled between 2 to 8 ºC in the cold chain and is noted every two hours. We also have a proper backup system in case of a power failure which is controlled by a UPS + a Solar System that gives a backup time of more than 16 hours.
Our refrigerators are strictly confined for medicines only, no eatables or any other things are stored in them.
The medicine is taken out of the refrigerator in the lowest possible time as otherwise the temperature inside the cold chain will be affected.
Cleaning around the refrigerator area is carefully done in order to prevent even a slight change in the position of the thermostat.
Refrigerator in our stores is placed in such a way that the compressor can easily release its air.
Refrigerator and thermometer are calibrated.
Packaging of cool chain products
Complete protocol for the packaging of cool chain products is followed. Cool chain products are supplied in a thermo pure box packed with ice plates. In this way temperature of the product is properly maintained for 24 hours.
